B&C custom bracing is a company that aims to develop the ideal knee brace. The faces behind the company are Rob and Toine. While one is an orthopaedic surgeon and the other a technical engineer, they share a passion for sports. They have combined their expertise in realising the CLS and CLSX knee brace. B&C custom bracing is an expert in brace technology and focuses on motocross, golf and skiing. Get to know our team.
Rob Bogie
Owner and orthopaedic surgeon
Rob is an orthopaedic surgeon specialising in the knee and shoulder. His expertise lies in sports injuries and he has a broad experience in complex knee injuries. He often encounters patients who previously had a knee brace with a poor fit and insufficient stability during use.
He has always been interested in technology and he thought this adventure would give him a new dimension to his expertise. That is why he and Toine came up with the idea to join forces and create a new brace that would fulfil all the medical wishes that Rob had in mind for a brace.
Toine Cuijten
Owner and technical engineer
Toine is a technical engineer and is since 25 years, owner of his own company. Toine’s work consists of a lot of interaction with new technical developments.
Aside to that, motocross has always played a big part in Toine’s life. He practiced motocross sport in his younger years and is still very involved in the sport on a weekly basis. He got the idea for B&C custom bracing when an acquaintance of Toine sustained a serious knee injury while racing. In the arduous search for an adequate brace, Toine and Rob came up with the idea to pool their knowledge and create a new knee brace that also can be used in motocross.
Rob is in the lead with regard to knowledge about the human body and Toine provides his technical knowledge. The main goals for the new brace were to generate the most true-to-life fit, using the most durable and high quality brace technology and materials. In this way, Toine is also pleased to be able to contribute to the future of motocross.
Laurens Klijn
Product developer and orthopaedic engineer
Laurens is involved in the development of the CLS(X) brace and guarantees the preconditions for this. He is always looking for improvements and adjustments. He does this in collaboration with the team, suppliers and athletes.
Due to his orthopaedic technology training, Laurens has all the necessary experience with braces and how they relate to the human body. Laurens also does the brace measurements and design on the customers.
In addition, Laurens has always had a great passion for sports, which is why he is very happy that he can do something for the sports world through B&C custom bracing and help people to safely practice their favourite sports (again).
